Governor Charlie Crist

Charlie Crist became Florida's 44th Governor on January 2, 2007. Crist has also served the people of Florida as Attorney General, Commissioner of Education, Deputy Secretary for the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation, and as a State Senator. Governor Crist is a strong advocate for education, public safety, environment and energy issues, strong trade relations and human rights.


Lt. Governor Jeff Kottkamp

Lt. Governor Jeff Kottkamp serves as Chairman of the Board of Space Florida, Chairman of the newly-created Florida Children's Cabinet and oversees the Florida Department of Highway Safety & Motor Vehicles, Governor's Office of Adoption and Child Protection, Florida's Film and Entertainment industry and the Office of Drug Control. He also chairs the Davis Productivity Awards program.


Former United States Senator Connie Mack

Connie Mack represented Florida's 13th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1983-1989. He went on the serve in the United States Senate from 1989-2001, where he was Vice-Chairman and later Chairman of the Senate Republican Conference. In 2005, Connie Mack was appointed by President George W. Bush to serve as Chairman of the President's Advisory Panel for Federal Tax Reform.

The Orlando Sentinel Editorial Board has given their endorsement to Thad Altman for Senate District 24. The Sentinel states that Thad Altman has a clear vision for how to address the issues facing the people of East Central Florida. The Sentinel applauds Altman's initiatives to retain Space Coast jobs, his support for the University of Central Florida's new medical school, and his enthusiastic outlook on commuter rail.


Florida Today

The Florida Today Editorial Board has endorsed Thad Altman for the Florida Senate. Florida Today supports Altman over his opponent based on his leadership and dedication during his service as a Brevard County Commissioner and State House Member. They commend his support for clean energy, environmental conservation, growth management and military families.


Mark LaRusso, Melbourne City Council Member


Mark LaRusso began his term as council member in 2004 and was re-elected in 2006. His current term extends until November 2010. LaRusso was also selected by his fellow council members to serve as vice mayor in 2006-2007. He was honored with the Coastal Florida Police Benevolent Association's Distinguished Service Award for Outstanding Leadership. Heavily involved in community service, LaRusso has served on the executive board for the YMCA, previous airport authority member, as well as serving on the City of Melbourne's Zoning Board of adjustment prior to his election.

The Coastal Florida Police Benevolent Association is a charter of Florida PBA; we are a professional law enforcement association in Daytona Beach, Florida which is centrally located within our coverage area of 12 counties (Brevard, Clay, Duval, Flagler, Indian River, Marion, Nassau, Putnam, St. Johns, St. Lucie, Seminole & Volusia). We are representing our law enforcement community including sheriffs, police, corrections, probation and public employees with legal issues, legislative issues, collective bargaining issues, and labor issues.

Florida Academy of Physician Assistants

The Florida Academy of Physician Assistants (FAPA) is a statewide organization of physician assistants dedicated to improving and advancing public healthcare in Florida.
